Snow Day!
We have been having some snow lately, so the kids are all excited. Casey's school was even cancelled one day. Jackson, enterprising as always, figured out our elderly neighbor will pay him to sweep her walk. He has been there almost everyday sweeping whether it needs it or not. He has made almost $30! We also found out about a local skating pond, so Casey and Jackson have been going there to play a little pond hockey. We had a couple warm days so even Nicholas has been outside enjoying the fresh air.

Welcome Kevin!

The Khan family is experiencing a bit of a baby boom. It started with Juliette back in April and then Nicholas and on December 23rd came our first nephew, Kevin Liam. This is Casey's sister, Sarah's first baby. What an incredible Christmas gift! The kids can't wait to meet him. Congratulations Sarah and welcome little Kevin!
Update
Both Nicholas and Francis had well check appointments this week. (I am just starting to see what it means to have all three of their birthdays in a row) Both boys are doing great. Francis grew from last year and he is now 37inches tall and 32lbs! Nicholas was a whopping 11lbs 2ozs which means he has already gained three lbs from his lowest weight. I go for my exam on Monday. Let's hope my weight has gone in the other direction!

Goal!
Here is some footage of one of Jackson's hockey goals. Keep in mind you will need to follow this very closely to see what is happening....
Nicholas's First Month
I can't believe he is already a month old! It went by so fast. He is doing really well, getting big and learning all kinds of new skills. He is really good at controlling his head and he has started to swat at objects you dangle in front of him. He does smile but he is pretty selective so it is hard to capture on film. He is very awake and alert and has become one of the boys. He watches everything they do and looks right at them when they talk. It is really cute. I don't have any stats on weight or size but he goes for a checkup Tuesday and I am sure they will tell me then. He is definitely growing because he is busting out of all his newborn clothes and my back is killing me from carrying him! Here are some photos.
Three!
Happy Birthday Francis! I can't believe he is three. He is so funny. For a long time he was content to be little but he is now starting to get interested in being a "big boy". For his birthday this year we went to Disney on Ice and then had some friends over for pizza and cake. The boys loved Disney on Ice, particularly when Lightning McQueen and Mater came out. Even Nicholas seemed to enjoy it. Here are some pictures of us going to the show and then at home having cake. By the way, Jackson and Francis decorated the cake themselves, with just a little help from Mom.
Winter Break
Merry Christmas!
Okay, I am a little behind on posts, but I am trying to get caught up. Anyway, we hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. We finished decorating the house and baked cookies Christmas Eve day and then had a big dinner that night. On Christmas morning we went to Mass and then came home to a huge medieval castle for the boys under the tree. (much bigger than we had expected) They spent the rest of the day playing with that and the next day we drove up to CT to visit with Nanny and Pops before the headed back to AZ. Nicholas got to meet some of his relatives including my cousin Kaye-Leigh's baby, who he shares a birthday with. We had lots of fun and it was nice to get out a little even if it did mean traveling with a two week old!
Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
