Maggie's First Birthday!

It is hard to believe our little girl is one! Because she was born on our tenth wedding anniversary and we were unable to go anywhere that year, we decided to spend the weekend of our 11th wedding anniversary in NYC. We couldn't leave the birthday girl home, so she came with us, while Grandma and Grandpa stayed with the boys. She celebrated her first birthday with steak and ice cream at Sparks http://sparkssteakhouse.com/ and the following day sightseeing in Manhattan.

The next weekend we had a party for her with the extended family, which she enjoyed in spite of the fact that I inadvertently scheduled during her nap time. (oops!) By the end she was begging to go to bed. Below are some pictures, but first here are some facts about Maggie at 1 (remember this doubles as a baby book)

She weighs 22lbs
She has 2 teeth (the bottom two)
She says four words (Mama, Dada, no, ball)
She loves, loves, loves to dance and she will dance to anything
She can stand on her own, she can even jump in place
She waves and claps and gives big smiles and hugs
She can point to her nose, eye and hair

Pilgrimage

We went to the Holy City for our anniversary and Maggie's birthday.  We ate at Sparks Steakhouse, saw the construction of the Freedom Tower, visited the Memorial, and met cousin Rachel.
